A Moment With Him

" I close my eyes and go back...
To a time where I could see all that was in front of me
When everything I owned was tangible,
When I never took on more than I could handle
Eyes closed, I could see the one time I FELL in love
Love had its ups and it had its downs, but I guess, for a little while, we always came around
Back... back into a space where my heart's desire was to take hold of all the world could offer
With the knowledge that knowledge would get you that, AND the top dollar
I. WAS.
And now, eyes opened... I see the world rotting around me.. telling me that....
I. AM.
I am in a time where things that I see are not of this world
Where all my tangibles are not own
Where the scent of flowers reminds me..... of home
A place that I've never been but Ive inherited
Where my beloved waits, hands extended to His bride
Eyes open, I escape to the only one who could make you RISE in love
Where love is patient, love is kind, love is free, with EYES of a dove
Here... here is a place where there's been an awakening of my heart's true desire
To stand hand in hand, face to face, and look into those eyes FILLED with fire
Ablaze with love for His sheep, His bride, you....ME
I look into them and I don't see then, I don't see now... but only eternity
A FIRE. A RAGE.
Willing to burn all that tries to separate.
Even with fire... tears of desire fill His eyes
And I think of why a King who has ALL, for me, would cry
I close my eyes as He wraps me in His arms
Far far away from all loneliness, all confusion, all harm
My hands shake, my heart pounds, and tears of longing fill my eyes
Oh Father wont you hear my cry
I long for Him,He longs for me
These days apart now feel like eternity
Torn between the salvation of this world and His return
NOW.... My eyes start to burn
ABLAZE.
